Work From Home Outfit
No matter if you are a blogger or a student or a freelance artist, you work from home a lot. For me, the hardest part about when I'm working from home is that sometimes I'm not as motivated as in a professional work environment. I get distracted easily, going for a snack every ten minutes, and even play with my dog while working. One thing that helped me with this problem is to get ready and change into my "work from home outfit" before I start working. I know it sounds more comfy to just wear your pajamas all day, I mean what's the point of working from home if you have to get ready in the morning? The truth is that the process of getting ready and change into more "formal" clothes get you into a professional mindset. The clothes on me are like a reminder that I'm working and watching Netflix is not appropriate. So here is my work from home outfit.
I usually wear a sweater because it has been full on winter in New York for FOUR MONTHS. I choose a bright color is because it makes me more awake and focused. This blue sweater I'm wearing is from H&M and I wrote a blog post about it because it's amazingly soft and amazingly cheap. This sweater washes well but I still noticed the collar became a little out of shape. Maybe because I wear it too much. I've been meaning to invest in a higher end cashmere sweater because it will last longer. I've been eyeing a few choices under $300. I'll link them here and tell me which one you like the best.
Mom jeans is my favorite pants for a work from home look. It's more polished than leggings and more comfortable than skinny jeans. In this look, I'm wearing a black mom jeans that I've been living in.
When I work from home, I always wear this pair of pink Loafers I bought from Coach outlet store last year. They are made of very soft leather and they are PINK! I feel this kind of loafers are more for indoor wear because it doesn't have a sole and can't stand any wetness. Unfortunately, I can't find this exact pair online anymore. I'll link some alternatives from different price ranges for you if you are considering investing in some indoor shoes or driving shoes.
