Chunky Sweater 2 Ways
Chunky Sweater Outfits - Look Chic & Not Chunky
When the temperature finally dropped and the snow days are still far away, it is the season for chunky sweaters. The thing about chunky knit is that it's best to wear them alone because it's not easy to stuff them into a jacket. Therefore every year I seize the tiny window of the perfect temperature for chunky sweaters to wear them non-stop for a few weeks.
This year I found this gorgeous baby blue sweater from Mango - love the contrasting knit style. And of course, I'm obsessed with this blue color. I created two different looks with my new found love in this post.
I know sometimes chunky sweaters can put some extra pounds on you.
I have a few styling tips for you here to avoid that and make that comfy sweater look extra chic.
Hope you can find some inspirations for your beloved chunky sweaters.

For the first look, I paired my blue sweater with white mom-jeans and black ankle boots. Baby blue plus white is the perfect color combination in the world - I mean have you seen Santorini. Adding a few black accessories just gives the look an autumn winter depth. I think this slightly cropped chunky sweater style works wonder with high-waist jeans. Especially when you tuck the front of the sweater in - just a little. It looks casual and easy but also highlights your waistline.
Style Tip: Tuck in the front of the sweater for a smaller waist.

In my second chunky sweater look, I chose black faux leather jogging pants and the same boots. Because my top and bottom are both a bit loose and baggy, I pulled down my sweater a bit to show more neckline and shoulder. This way I don't look too round and big in this chunky knit. And the heel height of the boots also helped elongated my leg a little. Wearing a cross-body bag also 'de-puff' the sweater and make you look slim.
Style Tips: Show some skin where you are the slimmest - neckline, wrist, and ankles. Wear heels for some extra inches. Cross-body bag for more definition.
