How To Wear A Jumpsuit Casually
Casual CHIC Jumpsuit
A good jumpsuit can become a versatile piece in one's wardrobe because it's so easy to style. Like a dress, you can just wear it on its own without thinking much about it and you instantly look chic. But sometimes wearing a jumpsuit can make the outfit look too business-like and not casual enough. From some aspects, a jumpsuit is more similar to a power suit that makes you look serious and formal. I have a few tips here that will help you wear that perfect jumpsuit casually and effortlessly.

1. Pick The Right Jumpsuit
The key to a casual jumpsuit look is a light material. A lot of jumpsuits are made from polyester which looks heavier and more tailored like this one HERE. The materials I'd look for are linen, cotton or viscose. These materials don't have much structure so they won't look stiff. The one I picked is from &otherstories and it's made of Viscose 68%; Cotton 20%; Elastane 6%; Linen 6%. It's really comfy and drapey.
2. Flat Shoes
Wearing flats is the easiest way to dress down an outfit. With the weather getting warmer, a variety of flat shoes will look great with a jumpsuit such as loafers, mules, and espadrilles. My personal favorite is flat sandals. The strappy snake print ones I'm wearing are from Mango and they match my snake print bag perfectly. Being affordable high street brand shoes, they are not the softest leather so it took some break-in. But they are comfortable after a few wears - they don't slide off easily and I can walk around in the city without getting blisters.
3. Fun Accessories
Another way to add casualness to a jumpsuit outfit is to wear some fun accessories. I've been obsessed with these star bobby pins recently. The bobby pin trend definitely brought back the memories from my childhood. I love this set from Shopbop because I can mix and match gold and silver. And they match my favorite star earrings from Mejuri (use my link to get 10% off). The pinky ring I'm wearing is also from Mejuri and it's the cutest thing ever.
